Seasons at Closet & Botts - Summer

Up next in this series of posts looking at the seasons in the shop, is Summer. Warm and hazy Summer.  The shop doors open wide and the sound of Billy Holiday flooding out in to the street.  

 

Fresh and dried flowers play a big part in our Summer displays. Plenty of glass and light fresh fabrics fill the shop. 

Vintage greens and turquoises feature heavily in the shop year round but perhaps slightly more through the Summer months. We love those colours!!

Many sunny iced coffees and ice creams are enjoyed on the bench throughout Summer. Productivity might go down slightly...

It’s all about Mellow and dusty tones. We like to set the scene for long, hot Summer lunches and balmy suppers in the garden.

This French peach garden set will always be remembered. A true beauty!

And as the days get shorter and nights a little chillier we look to some darker colours and slightly cozier homeware. Lamps, cushions and heavy stoneware start to make their way into the shop. Is that Autumn I see?...
